Tom Detelich

Financial Executive

Thomas Detelich is an accomplished senior executive with outstanding CEO management experience and in-depth background in the financial services industry, providing strategic planning, general management, and operational leadership. He has experience in banking and consumer / mortgage lending businesses, with significant skills in sales management and retail distribution. He has managed a retail network with more than1,500 branch locations in the U.S. and Canada.

At HSBC, one of the world's largest banking and financial services organizations, Tom was the Group General Manager and a Group Executive of HSBC in North America. He held the functional position of President of HSBC's Consumer and Mortgage Lending businesses, with more than 15,000 employees and revenues of $5 billion. In that role, he maintained P&L responsibility, the strategic direction, and operational results for several of the HSBC mortgage lending businesses. He recently delivered an industry-leading credit performance in all lending lines during both strong economic periods and stressed periods between 2007 and 2009.

In 2009 Tom, along with a business partner, formed Grandview Capital, LLC, a real estate investment firm specializing in residential real estate. Today Grandview Capital is one of the largest real estate investors in the western suburbs of greater Chicago. Tom and his partner have built a successful business in just over one year, with strong growth and return on investment.

Tom is on the Executive Committee of the Housing Policy Council of the Financial Services Round Table and on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Chicago. He is highly involved with CASA of Kane County (Court Appointed Special Advocates), serving on the Board of Directors, Chair of the Resource Development Committee and Vice Chair of the "Grow a Healthy Child" Endowment Committee. He also actively supports a number of charities including the United Way, where he is a member of the Tocqueville Society, and the Alzheimer's Association, where he is involved in supporting research for medical and therapeutic advances to mitigate the impact of this disease.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from the University of Redlands in Redlands, California.
